Couldn't find an "Introduce Yourself" thread, so this seemed the next-obvious place to post.
A hello to all fellow Audiosurfers! My name is zero, I'm a college student in America who is pursuing computer programming recreationally on the side.
Last year, my roommate pointed me to the Steam demo of Audiosurf, and needless to say I was almost instantly hooked. I became even more obsessed after learning of all the ways in which people have been able to modify the game! As an entrepreneur, I also see great potential for a game like Audiosurf to make a deeper impact on the masses, especially with the rise of tablets and touch-screen phones/players this past year or so, and the gradual decline seen in console-based gaming sales.
For these reasons and more, I have decided to join the forum community. I want to learn all the tricks to modifying the game and, if possible, making it more aesthetic and presentable. I want to learn more about Quest3D, what it is, etc.
By the way, I tend to not have an "internal filter", so whatever I'm thinking at the moment has a tendency to turn into a Wall Of Text... sorry, but I have a lot of ideas.
Also, big important question... should I download the full $10 copy of Audiosurf in order to make use of all these mods I'm reading about? That might be a no-brainer but I didn't know if you all were using Steam or some other medium to get Audiosurf.
TL;DR = Hi, I wanna learn about modding Audiosurf, etc. Where do I start?
