Troubleshooting / Some songs aren't registering

It's a bit annoying, not sure what the problem is, but sometimes a song takes a few tries to register on the high score table, which is annoying if it's a tough song to play. It does list the song on my page, but says "using Pointman Pro for a total of points" (even though I used DV Elite ) instead of a proper score.

I tried reinstalling the last time this happened, but now it's happening again

Is it a problem with the song file I'm using (it is tagged and all though =/), a server issue, a game issue?

Any ideas? Thanks

Edit: So, I tried this song: http://www.audio-surf.com/song.php#10502321 four times in DV Elite, and it didn't register, just the "using Pointman Pro for a total of points" on my page. I tried again in DV Pro and it registered correctly. And then tried again in DV Elite and nope, nothing -.-

Discussion / Power-ups vanishing?

This happened to me a few times, so just to make sure I'm not cuckoo, has anyone else seen power-ups not register, or just disappear into thin air?

For example, in DV mode, I picked up a yellow lightning bolt (yes!) and right after that, a sort. Aaaand the yellow lightning blocks vanished. No points, no yellow blocks, nothing

Hi y'all I got a skill rating of 2354 on a song and didn't get listed on the front page's Top Score list, so I'm just wondering why not for future reference

Used Double Vision (Casual), got quite a few yellow paints and stuff. The song has 200 Traffic and is a little under 2 minutes long. It's not tagged.

Addons / Any way to get a list of songs by traffic?

tl;dr: (How) can I put in a lot of songs and get traffic/track data on them without doing so one-by-one?

Hi y'all

I was wondering if there's any add-on or mod that takes a bunch of songs (like all the songs in a folder, for example) and sorts them by Audiosurf traffic, or by average block color (which would tell you how steep the track is). Is it even possible to do so without going through the songs one by one (a rather tedious task when you have dozens of songs )? Right now I use a beats-per-minute analyzer that does this, but I've found BPM to be a mediocre estimator of traffic, since some songs (like violin-heavy classical) have low BPM but still produce a fast downhill track, and others might have a high BPM, but Audiosurf might ignore a lot of the beats and produce a slow track.

Discussion / Mono strategy: What am I missing?

Hi y'all, bought Audiosurf a few days ago and I love it

Anyways, I was wondering if there's some secret to getting a great score in Mono/Mono Pro. Reason I ask is that I played a song (http://www.audio-surf.com/song.php#2570700) and got 99% of the blocks in Mono, and got a pretty respectable 281K. And now someone dethroned me, they only picked up 93%, but got a 354K score! The same situation in Mono Pro (we both have 98%, but my rival has almost double my score). We both used Ironmode, and we got the same bonuses. And as far as I can tell, we have the same track (it's a soundtrack from a Pokemon game, so it's not that there'd be a ton of variations xD)

So is there something aside from "pick colored block up, leave grey block down" that I'm missing? Does timing play a role or something? In Mono Pro, does using the scooper-thingy affect the score? Thank you
