It may be the headphones as they use a USB port.

Try unplugging them and see if Audiosurf will start.

If that works then it may be possible to plug them back in after Audiosurf has started, it may not. Windows can be funny about these sorts of things.

It might be worth trying unplugging all USB devices except your mouse as something is clearly messing about with direct input that specific programs can't cope with.

ALL THE INTERNETS FOR THIS MAN RIGHT HERE. It worked unplugging it and it works most of the time when I plug it back in while the game is loading ^.^ YOU ARE AWESOME! As are you mr.Blue hex! Thanks to everyone for helping me figure this out :)

No problem.
It does seem Quest3D has issues with USB devices it can't identify. I think this is the first time we've had headphones as the problem though, it's usually an odd controller input like a 3rd party guitar controller.
