Cannot seem to make a game id?

Hello, I just got this game as a gift today on Steam.  I downloaded the game, but I cannot make a new account to get customized stats.  I made an account here fine.    (Edit: By *here* I mean at the AudioSurf forums, NOT for the game itself.  Sorry for any confusion.)  Apparently I cannot post on the Steam Forums yet, since I only just bothered to make an account there today, or that's what I figure cause I can't post anywhere there yet.  (I've always just peeked there, found my solution and moved on, never needed to post before.)  How do I register?     Help, please?   

Edit: Confirmed, I cannot post yet to the Steam forums, due to the fact that I am in the moderator's que to be added for permission.  I retried the link in the confirmation email to find this out.

What exactly do you want to do? These forums are not connected with the Steam forums in any way, other than the obvious.

I want to play the game, I want personalized stats, but I do not have an AudioSurf gamer ID.  I cannot find how to make one.  I am unable to ask at the Steam forums, so I am asking here.  I tried logging in with my Steam ID thinking maybe that would work, it didn't and I didn't get an option to make an account either, only the option to recover my password.  There's a topic on the Steam forums about it.  Here...

They are aware of the bug, and a fix was applied, but for some reason I am having this issue now.

This also applies to the score board appearing empty and not being able to upload your scores.

Hi--just made some changes to the server and hopefully things like logging in and uploading scores will be a lot better now.

Try clicking that, if you can't log in as you have no account then that should give you the option to create a new account.

This game is currently on sale on Steam, and one of the current Steam contest achievements is for this game.  (Candy Stripe)  That's why you are seeing so many ask how to do so.

Er, how do I choose music from my computer?  I got lots of MP3s from Amazon.

Or, just play?  I got it!  Thank you.  I don't know why it didn't occur to me that the option to make a new account might be found in game!     I *do* also play MMOs.  Heh...

  HEY!    I don't play WoW!  9Dragons, yeah, or did.  Guild Wars, yep.  Anarchy Online, check.  Even...Dungeons and Dragons Online.  But NOT WoW.  *sniffle* 


(Though I do like me some Warcraft, or Diablo/Diablo2, and Myst is still one of my all time favorite games along with American McGee's Alice and Clive Barker's Undying, Septerra Core: The Legacy of the Creator, The Longest Journey, Dark Fall: The Journal... *trails off*  I like a challenge, and good puzzles.  Not...what you find in WoW.)  *wink*

It's just other things IRL that have me not up to par I guess.    The Mr's hardly been home for weeks, (as in barely one day off) all his time atm has been the company's time.  At least he's coming up on 2 4 day weekends in a row starting when he gets off tonight.  (He works night shift in a warehouse.)  So, we'll have Christmas and New Year's Eve/Day together!  *cheer*
