Can't create account

Okay, well I've searched extensively but I've been unable so far to find a solution. My problem is that I can't create an account in the client, or log into an account (not that I have one for lack of being able to create one). When I try to create an account, the screen just stays on "Contacting Audiosurf Server...", and does not progress. It doesn't freeze, and I can click the "Back" button just fine and return to the game (when I return to "Create An Account" after this, it returns to "Contacting Audiosurf Server...", by the way). Audiosurf/QuestViewer are added to my list of firewall exceptions, and I can't think of anything else that could be blocking it. I can see and access the Audiosurf news client as the game loads, if that's of any use.

Tried verifying the game files through Steam? Instructions in a sticky thread in troubleshooting if you hadn't seen it.

I've tried verifying, then I tried uninstalling and reinstalling audiosurf completely, but neither was to any avail; I still have the same issue.

I'm pretty sure it is... At least, I can open it and access sites such as audio-surf.com and such.

Audiosurf is in the list on Firewall exceptions (and is checked obviously), and AVG doesn't appear to be blocking it in any way that I know of.

I don't think IE being the default browser or not affects Audiosurf. I know you said AVG seems not to block it in any way, but I'd trying disabling it temporarily anyway...

Can confirm. My default is Firefox and I surf without problem.

I disabled AVG's components, but alas, still have the same issue.

You could try logging into Steam on a different computer, downloading AudioSurf, creating an account there, and then seeing if you can log in to that account on your main computer.

Yeesh. Guess I'll try that today. I needed to visit my brother anyway.

Okay, finally managed to get to use his laptop, downloaded Audiosurf, made an account; BAM, working account created and usable on that laptop. Went back to my computer, tried to log in with that same account - didn't progress past "logging in". Dammit.
