I tend to listen to a lot of music podcasts of which are mostly above 1 hour in play time. Though sometimes this is not the case, at which I play them in Audiosurf instead.

This is one of those songs :http://www.audio-surf.com/song.php?t=popular#10459723

I chose this specific one as there was a part which had an immense density of red bricks, better yet - only red bricks.
Combined with a full chain bonus (advanced statistics show 1 chain loss) I got quite a few 21 full red matches.

As you can see, my highest cluster (on pointman elite) is 40320. =)

Edit: Is it possible to make an even higher cluster with the previously mentioned red+3xyellow?
Or is this only viable with character who have a larger 'puzzle box' than 21?

Just now, my biggest cluster in term of points is... 74322 points!  FUK YEAH!  Gotta love Gigga combo running + x4 multipler + red paint >:-) (Used Pointman Pro, of course!)
The song was "Ultra Mi-Ha Deluxe" by Project 2.  It's on the compilation "Super Eurobeat 195".

Hell, I just made 492140 points on that song.  There was shitload of traffic and didn't even get a match 21, LOL.

its not even possible to get a 60k match with pointman elite. 44k with pointman is = max chain 18 reds and 3 yellows

My biggest match in points was a 202k with Eraser pro and i also had 103k with pusher pro, 80k with eraser elite (after this match i lost chain), and some 55k matches with pusher elite.

21 reds at high chain is better than 18/3. Max chain is x4, max chain with sync bonus is x4.3

Therefore 21 reds (base 10080) gives 40320 as the best possible non-white Pointman Elite match with no tags (18/3 is only 37582).

With 4 lanes, PE could get a 56992 point red match. So Passerby might have been legit about that ~60k'er ^_^

Score table is attached.

With Vegas, I wonder if the biggest possible match has ever been achieved (x7 multiplier, match 21 of reds, max chain). Although, I've never been able to max out the chain multiplier on a Pro Mode due to the reset timer being so short :(.

Has anyone done it?

Yes, although not personally.
It's one of the main reasons why Vegas is currently considered unbalanced and rules the scoreboards on many of the commonly played tracks.
Just keep playing. Since Vegas scores are heavily luck based you're likely to get the 21 red x7 at some point.

I remember getting over 200k on a 4x multiplier and effing lucky red splash using eraser. I had blues stored, happened to get a clean board, ran out the blues, filled the columns (once again, with a lot of luck, it was on a fast song), and noticed my score shoot up! I was stunned! Didn't believe it then went on the website to check the advanced scores and saw that the max combo was over 200k. I think the top score before me was 200-250k. I scored over 400k. I probably still have the top for that song!

I scored 210K on a match 21 of reds with a x7 multiplier and a big chain. I remember ERtrysDynat score 227K on a cluster on a radio song sometime in 2010. I didn't even think it was possible to score 227K on a large cluster of reds because I used to think 30K was the max cluster in points when counting the chain bonus only. With a score of 227K on a cluster playing Vegas it means that the cluster was worth 32K before counting the multiplier powerup.

Well picked up, Eagle.

Having said that, there are some slight anomalies in the game that are picked up from time to time. Once, using eraser, my friend and I calculated a max cluster of yellows that we thought was impossible. After running the calculation several times and doing many other runs, we concluded that the score MUST'VE included yellow blocks that had just been dropped by eraser, but were outside the cells. I've noted this a few times, now.

I've heard of that bug yeah.

Dunno whether it was fixed or how it works, but you'd be able to get Match30 or so by exploiting it?

Contrary to what some overreacting posters with llama avatars may have thought, ERtrysDynat is a law-abiding surfer with some great DVE videos.

This happens to me aswell. From what I've seen, it only happens when you have another match or other blocks on the board at the time of pasting a match on top, while exceeding the amount of available cells. The leftover blocks then match and it's counted as one cluster.
