Cheater AGAIN! WTF!? Deleted and then, they reappear.

Well, i found another cheaters thing thats weird. http://www.audio-surf.com/song.php#845

First of course the cheaters get deleted, and later they are back. There may be offensive usernames to others. the ones who get trolled are ViRUS, dylan and worst is, i cant post the sentence of the cheater. i know what will happen then. I think TeeryDo (obviously, most ppl of Russia are cheaters) or Mblunk is doing this.

This cheating continues to happen because the game is so tolerant of it. It wouldn't happen in games from Valve because of the VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat). Dylan doesn't seem to have the resources to address cheating and trolling. You can see that the account URLs are broken when you click on them.

the account URL's which are broken are most likely known as cheaters, but there also many other users that wants to use special characters in they're name. Actually Valve should take over Audiosurf.

So much discontent. Do you not enjoy the game any more? Yes I'll agree cheaters are a minor nuisance, but that does not stop me enjoying a surf or two. I play because enjoy it, and like to listen to my music, the scoreboards are not the reason to play, they are an added bonus.

actually it should be partial,  the point of this is there may be no cheaters because of VAC. most games owned by Valve have VAC.

Implementing VAC would fix (at the very least) part of the cheating problem. While I don't particularly support VALVe acquiring the rights to AudioSurf (it'd probably just delay Episode 3 more), I would support VAC implementation - presuming QuestViewer supports it.

Adding an SSL module and adding memory randomisation/encryption would prevent most cheaters anyway.

Adding VAC would look for apps that are running which are known as cheats.

At the end of the day, it doesn't spoil my ride. I don't enjoy the game any less, I ride for fun not scores.

I think blue_h3x is right. A Duke Nukem Forever sequel is highly likely whereas a VAC for Audiosurf is highly unlikely. Duke Nukem Forever will have a sequel because Duke Nukem is still an icon. Audiosurf is not controlled by Valve at all.

dunno why though, it only had an annoying mouse acceleration that you couldn't turn off and the gameplay was terribly boring
