I can't stand playing on the MX518/G5, so do a few other players actually. And they don't have smooth scrolling.

Get the Logi G9/G9x if you can afford/find one for cheap.
Looks hideous but oh that clicking mechanism is pure unadulterated sex.

Also has the switch between clickety and whoosh-infinite.

I've actually came to use the G518 and I like it. The woosh wheel isn't that much of a priority, so I think I'll go with that one
