Right, fixed.

Now that I think about it, have you even seen any gameplay videos of the original Portal, Canned Rocker?  Ever touched Half Life?  I feel like you think Valve is an indie company as well, your ideas of them are so skewed.

There's some pretentious indie developers that have some weird ideas about "art games" which often end up with broken gameplay because they're more interested in trying to get something across instead of making a working game. It's not a particularly good view imo.
Other than that, there's the whole "games as art" debate. Which is unresolvable as it depends on your definition of art. Personally I say it's anything that can evoke a solid emotional response and/or make you think (from the game content itself, not from broken controls, dodgy level design or dickwads on multiplayer servers), in which case I'd say the Portal series qualifies. But, just my opinion. :)

Indeed, Portal2 does that. Same with Mass Effect, Half Life, and their iterations.

Anyone remember the L4D2 boycott group? Where did that get to?

The L4D2 Boycott Group died in a fire when most of the members realizes that L4D2 is better than the original in practically every way.

Meh, one small word on a sign on the only door in probably the most simple room in the game which is the only way to go. That equals none imo.
