ya but things like a packet hack it should be a perma ban, no warnings

Seen as it's hard to do that one by mistake.
Australia is kinda awesome, but it's no Yorkshire.

I have seen at least one case where a person got a ridiculously high score because the game glitched and gave them a track full of all whites... or so they claimed, at least.

I figure you can give someone a mulligan in a case like that, but let them know that if it happens again, they should report and replay.

In which case, delete the score and ASH and re-go, without a ban. Unless it happens many times.

I can't think of many people really, most are just novices now on Audiosurf.

I have not played Audiosurf much since Update 1, which made the game much easier and also changed all the congestion so higher scores could not be achieved from such songs as;

Nobody Knows - Kokoro Odoru and the Dragon Force titles which is pointless.

Unless anyone beats my scores on Ninja Elite then I consider myself superior to you all who play the same character as me.

End of

d16k, made a to do +30 to dethrone him at a song where i got dethroned. 320k on it is near impossible to me. my max is 250k.

That depends on the length and/or traffic of the song. Average upbeat pop/rock song that runs 3-4 minutes, 300k seems reasonable, but it takes some practice and a bit of luck with the powerups. If the song's longer, or the rhythm is more intense, etc., then it actually becomes possible to pull 400-500k on a lot of 'em.

Apparently d16k and I are having a bit of a Weird Al war. You can have "Polka Face", but I want my "Party in the CIA" back!

actually, it was a song of 2 minutes and 43 / 44 seconds. http://audio-surf.com/song.php?t=popular#9856754 i had only 147k, then he gets 320k. some later i hit 252k, and now, he got defeated by a 325k DVP.

I dethroned a guy named "wans #3" a week or so ago on a few songs and 3-4 days later he beats them by like 50%+ (triple mine on the other) the score with completely different looking tracks and less skill rating, I mean seriously, if scores mean that much to you that you're gonna cheat just take the dumb throne -.-

I'm not sure he's cheating though. He has another song track, which could feature a lot more traffic, and he's using Vegas (which might be considered cheating in a way) which can easily make him just lucky enough to beat you to it.

I understand that some people have slightly different tracks, but having 128k points with 200 less skill rating seems a bit fishy to me still >_>

MetaLsurfeR!!!!!! If you're reading this, I'm coming after you! And not in-game, I'm coming after your family! If I get ONE MORE notification of my score being beaten by you, it's on!!!

Like, seriously. One year after I get the max score, he beats it. Does he just keep trying till he wrecks me or something?
Audiosurf is like a mix of tetris, need for speed and pot... Look at all the colours, dude!

Are the dethrones at least 2x your score?

They're actually not. We've had a few fair close rivalries. He's clearly the better player, though, because he's mastered pointman where-as I'm using eraser. Disclaimer: Eraser is not better than pointman, just easier to master.

Basically, if surfeR played with eraser, he may/may not get the same score as me. But whenever I play with pointman, I fail :P
