But with that "Free Portal" thing they did back when Mac Steam came out, as well as all the sales they do on their games, I think the $45 price tag is justified.
Yeah well why do
I need to pay for the free gifts OTHER PEOPLE received? I already owned Portal 1, and I do not intend to pay another time for it
Maybe to offset some of the money it'll cost to give all those PS3 gamers they want to reel in their free copies for PC?
Again, why do I need to pay for other people's game? They want to give free copies to PS3 users, then don't put the cost on the people who don't benefit from that.
EU is getting done up the shitter by Steam again.
Seriously, who came up with that shittie idea to NOT convert dollars in euros?
I'll wait for the 25% off sale, it'll happen. The free copy of portal is hardly a gift, seen as they handed it out for free anyway.
Yeah, as much as I'm eager to try this game, I'll wait for a discount. I don't need another copy of Portal. Having another gift pass open for years (Like I had for HL2 & Ep1 for years after buying OB) is more of a punishment than a present to me.
As to replayability, there is the co-op stuff they've added, so presumably there must be some additional replay value through that. Will have to see.
Well Portal 1 I know pretty much by heart now, so the challenge is off and so is the replay value. I can't think of any way to prevent people from not learning co-op mods by heart.
at least you don't have to pay $180 for it
You got to be kidding me.
€45 is just perfectly fine for me.
Also, seeing how I paid only (since I got it in the Orange Box) €10 for the first, I think it kind of evens out. Because, well, we DID play that game over and over again.
45 + 15(I paid 50 for 3 games) = 60
60/2 = 30
Personally, I don't think Portal 1 is worth 30 bucks.
I can't wait to read the reviews. If those say that Portal 2 is four times better(longer) than Portal 1, I might spend 30 bucks on P2, but the problem is that it's not 30. It's 45.
Bleh, my economics teacher just said today: "There is no such thing as justice in economics".
Perhaps he's right.
