server down, beta weekend over?

did you shut the server? i cant connect. can i play tomorrow or do i need to wait the next beta weekend?

i made a killer score in dragonforce, 250-250k, i dont remember the exact figure. it got wasted becouse i couldn't connect to the server and upload my score.



EDIT: Could you include Loops to the songs? i would love to ride in a one, maybe after an intense part, sort of an transition. that would be awesome in freeride, Big visuals, more would be better!

Hi! So sorry you won't get to log in that awesome score!

The beta is still going on but due to unexpected volume on the server we've had to disable the scoring--the forums have also been down but are just now getting back up. 

The database holding all the scores was just hammered. Or maybe it was so astounded at your dragonforce score that it collapsed.

We will switch to a dedicated server as soon as we can, so this won't happen on the retail version.

I myself honestly don't care about getting/seeing high scores. I'm attracted to this game because of the eye candy/being able to use any song you have. I just signed up today too.

I created an account yesterday before this happened, will I still be able to play?  I noticed the lack of high scores today, all of the previous high scores seemed to be erased. I like to know who else played the same obscure songs as me

This is really saddening.  I highly suggest the developers release another update that lets us keep playing the beta offline.  That way, word continues to get out about the game, more people get drawn in, and your server doesn't get overloaded.

I mean, just because we have a beta to play doesn't mean we won't buy the finished game.  I'm sure it'll have fixed bugs, better environments, more options, etc.?
