Bloody hell, did not have any problem on the Demo or after i bought it via Steam.
But now i have big time lag after i installed the new patch!!!!!  :-[

Maybe they should haved waited for the release, as it's full with bug's and the point-system/stats still is being updated.
5 patches/updates after less than a month  ???

Hope for a big update that fixes most of the bugs, as i don't feel like being a beta tester for a fully bought game

Most of the the updates have been to add features WE have been requesting.

I guess having two of those 512 8800GTs in SLI must be why I have 0 problems on all songs then.

Wow... first of all "full of bugs" is not right. You don't know how much people running it without any problem because you always see complaining guys in forums, not the contented ones (or just a thousandth part).
Second: Why do you complain about developers that care about their customers, that care about bug fixing, that care about adding new features? Just because it won't help you in particular?
You would complain if there would have been 1 update, but this time "hell no, we need a fix, why don't you fix this or that?"
Third: beta tester for a fully bought game
-the game is 10$ that is AWESOME for such high amount of fun
Tell me a NEW game that costs even twice but gives you the same fun, please...
-being beta tester? there was a long beta time, just to make sure that you get a proper final
-most high-price games (i don't need to tell you titles, almost every is affected) even have critical(!) fixes before you get your hands on the CD/DVD

If you still think you made a bad purchase - well, you just might have bought the wrong game for YOU. Which does not include it is bad for everybody.

Sorry, but posts like this are just ... well, you get the point.

EDIT:
You stated that you did not have any problem before this patch. Fine.
Next you say THIS March 7th update made things bad. Ok.
Then you complain about many updates in one single months. Your opinion.
After that you hope they fix most of the bugs... Does not fit quite well, no?

Want to know about MY opinion?
Well, I do have some MINOR issues which could be better, but you always find those things. In conclusion every update made the game better, even my fps did not drop but raised by about +10.

Of course I can run HL2 with 200+ fps or CoD 4 or or or but if AudioSurf is fluid even with not such good fps, well, who cares?

Full of bugs : take a look around the forum and tell me it's not full of bugs
Complain about Developers : Tell me just 1 game that had 5 patches that either change the game play or the pointsytem in the first month ( you will not find such a game)
and normally it's in the BETA where issues get fixed you will always have the odd patch but 5 in one month tell's me this haved not been tested enough or they haven't got enough feedback from the actual players.
think it's cool the developers care about ther customers, but it's there job.
Yeah audiosurf is cheap, which is cool aswell but it's not a COD4, Crysis or Frontlines

: Pain, Sam & Max, Bejeweled, Counter Strike, Trackmania Nations (that is actually free) and i can keep going.

this is not a high-price game, and as you said yourself games does have Critical bug's but most of them are fixed before they release the game and then the patches fixed the small bugs, and i would say by looking on this forum and this topic that this game have loads of critical bug's.

Yeah ofcourse i wan't one big update that fixes all problems instead of the continuel flow of updates that creates new bugs.

That's the problem it's NOT running fluid, i lag like hell i can play demanding games like Gears Of War, Crysis, Frontlines:FOW , Call Of Duty 4 and more without any problem what so ever, but this little game that really not should have any BIG problems is unplayable for me !

Ofcourse i like the game otherise i would not have bought it, just not think is cool we are still Beta testing a game that haved been out for a month.

Counterstrike, TF2 etc etc. are always releasing updates to tweak things. Even if we've had a lot of updates, I'm glad we've had this many ... Audiosurf had a massive explosion in popularity and now Dylan is trying to cater for all the features that the community has asked for.

I also have unplayable amounts of lag, even on the bare minimum setting of graphics and at 640x480 resolution. I mean it looks terrible but it still isn't playable.

I meet all of the minimum requirements so I should technically be able to play on the lowest settings, right?

Here are my specs:

OS: Microsoft® Windows® XP/Vista
Processor: 1.6 GHz Intel® Pentium® 4
Memory: 1024 MB RAM (min req is 512)
Graphics: 256 MB (min req is 32) NVIDIA GeForce® 6200 (not sure if I have pixelshader 3.0 or not)
DirectX Version: DirectX® 9.0 or higher
Sound: DirectX® 9.0c-compatible sound card

I still bought the game because I'm hoping this will be solved eventually because I really really want to play this :|

Also, I don't have FRAPS so I don't know the exact frame rate I'm getting but it looks to be around 30 fps on (very) slow sections, and then when the song picks up it drops down to a ridiculous 5-10 fps. This is all on the lowest graphic settings, I don't even care about enhanced or premium or whatever I just want to play the game.

You don't happen to have XBCD drivers installed? These can cause a memory leak.

I would just like to add my name to the list of people who are having fps issues.I have a Intel Pentium 4 3.40Ghz processor 1 GB of RAM and a NVIDIA G. force 6800 And am experiencing the same random FPS slowdowns that other people have been experiencing no matter what resolution or quality setting I run the game on.I would love to hear that someone in the audio surf team is at least looking into what could be causing the strange FPS slowdowns

Do you have any antivirus software running? Or Carbonite?

I also have an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS so we can rule out the video card as the problem. XP Media Center Edition and 4GB of Ram. Works Flawlessy.

Other then making sure your drivers are up to date I dont have any other suggestions except to try on another system and see how it works and maybe kind of compare any differences and/or stop any unnessary background programs/windows services.

Does full screen / windowed mode make any difference?

Well I'm using zero virus protection software and tried running it windowed and full screened (there's no difference in fps) at normal on 600x800 and I'm still getting intermittent drops in fps.

I just don't get what's causing it.

yeah this game is actually MUCH more demanding than even counter strike source I find. I don't any any problems playing on any settings or resolutions, but thats only because I spend at least $500 a month on computer parts on average lol

Are you guys positive that you have the latest motherboard drivers installed? If you've got an nforce chipset on your motherboard without the latest drivers, the game will lag every 15-30 seconds as it loads/unloads track components.
I had this issue up until i nabbed the latest nforce drivers from nvidia.com
