The sound effect scheme should stay constant unless you restart the game--is it not doing that?

It stays constant between songs but not after restarting the game, just like you mentioned.

Is there a way to keep it constant after restarting the game?

Hi!
I have the same problem with the bluescreen
I have tried to set the sound effects to off (in the options of the game) but the bluesreen appeared again and again so it didnt work.
I also think that this game is not so much fun when you cant hear the sound of the blocks when you hit them.

Please tell me if i made something wrong(maybe you mean other sound effects) and help me/us to find a solution for this problem.
The 30-60 seconds i have played untill the bluescreen appeared ware awesome!
Please i need your help!!!

(sorry if i made some mistakes my english is not very good)

Hi--there's no way to do that right now, but I do see how useful it would be if you're having this problem! We are working on a fix to these sound/BSOD issues.  I wanted to make sure you knew there's an options button on the character selection screen so you can at least select no sounds from there before you go into the gameplay.

So sorry you are having this problem! We are working on a fix for issues like this.

Here are some other things that have worked for other people:

  Check out this thread:

    http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=653791&page=2

You may want to delete and reinstall your sound card drivers.  C-Media cards and Turtle Beach Montego cards give some people trouble in particular.

Some people have fixed this by using a USB sound card:

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=653791&page=2

or by checking their audio and video codecs:

@lebeth thank you for the fast answer

ok i have re-insatlled the game and i have set the sound effects to "no Sounds"  and it worked!!
BUT i think that this game is not much fun when you cant hear when you hit the blocks!
It cant be a solution to play a game for what peaple payed 10$ without sound effects!!!
I really like the game but when i see the different subthreads in this bugthread i am getting the feeling that you released the game a bit to early!

i have the latest drivers for my sound and my graphiccard installed

i use a 5.1 sound headset with a build in soudcard maybe thats the problem.
could you please tell me how i can disable/activate my soundcard (not the one which is in my headset) so i can trie if that helps.

please fix these problems fast!

I have the same problem ... with an aureon 7.1 pci audio card and windows xp X86 ... I fix the problem whith update the drivers for VISTA 32/64b ...

sorry for my english i am french and i'm tired ...
I post for help other users

for french user -> (please still french post)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
