Dreamy apple
« on: November 09, 2010, 02:02:44 am »
So Jobs has ditched the apple server with a brilliant comment of

"I look at that as a dream while [Apple] was in a coma"

Maybe this dream is where all the 'magical' business about ipads came from

Hehe, you've brought this up just as my iPod failed to see my wifi. Again.
Does this on a regular basis. It's ability to see networks it completely arbitrary and has nothing to do with location. Meanwhile my Android phone picks things up with no issues whatsoever.
The reason I want the wifi? There's another free game within the people I follow for it, so thought I'd pick it up... Once the f'king thing see the wifi. Not like it's useful for music or video.

As to Apple and the server stuff? It just sounds more like "we made a marginal effort by pointing out that OS X has a unix history and expected the server market to flock to us like our desktop users do. Now that they haven't we're claiming we were never really interested."
In other words, another "if they don't come to us on their knees proclaiming us as the second coming, we're not interested in selling them over-priced things."
The normal Apple approach then.

Sometimes, I dream about Cheese

Tbh, I don't like cheese nor apples, though they are nice combined with other stuff such as bread/cake.

Apple server?  On a side note, one of my friends bought the latest macbook air and holy butt nubblies is it thin.  Doesn't make me want to buy it any more, but it is seriously about as thick as the screen is on my laptop.

Do they still have the horrendous heat issues the first ones had?

Not to mention battery life (with no way to easily replace without dismantling the laptop).
Dodgy keyboards (same as all mac laptops).
And 1 USB port.

Or the dodgy trackpad driver that crashed after 50 'clicks' on the first ones. To which apple's 'solution' was reboot.

Why are you dropping electronics from a meter off the ground?  Let's cut that down, actually:  why are you dropping electronics?

or maybe you got mad at your phone because you thought it saved a very important message in your Drafts folder, when it really didn't because the UI is shit and you 'involuntarily' threw it across the room...
