It's not working for me... there's no "play" button in the application?!?!?!

1 ) Set a location to extract the music to (this can be anywhere with write access, for example My Documents)
2 ) Download the .crf file following the link in the news.
3 ) Click "Extract," navigate to where you downloaded the .crf file and select it.
4 ) Go to the "login" tab and enter your Audiosurf username and password.
5 ) Start Audiosurf (either manually or using the world tournament app).
6 ) When Audiosurf gets to the character-select screen then click "Connect."
7 ) Click back in Audiosurf. <-- Play button might not appear until you do this.
8 ) Select your character in the world tournament application.
9 ) Click "Play" in the world tournament application.

ViRUS: Whilst I think this is fairly straightforward for those who've used other apps with Audiosurf, it may be confusing some people so something like this in the first post may help?

what I'm not happy about is that if I click "restart" it won't record the score.

And restart happens A LOT. oh well

There are full instructions on how to use the application in its thread. But maybe they weren't clear enough. I've replaced them with yours. Thanks! :)

You can use Restart on the Pause menu as many times as you want, the same goes for Repeat Song on the scoreboards (I've just tested it, in case there was a bug in the app and it worked fine).

Try re-downloading the app from the first post, and allowing it through your firewall.

Ok...so I've set permissions to allow it through the firewall, I do NOT have .NET, I've tried putting the app in the Audiosurf program files folder, and even running with Administrator privleges...but I keep getting an error. (screencap attached)

"Couldn't find Audiosurf's Path. Exiting."

Anyone know how to solve this?

You have to own a legal copy of Audiosurf from Steam to use the application.

The message you're getting is because you don't have Steam installed.

Ah...It could be because the copy is borrowed.  Thanks! I'll try re-installing.

Edit: re-installing Steam fixed it.  It turned out that one of the files had been corrupted by a trojan.  Virus check sorted it all out.

Hi guys!

Everytime when I play Audiosurf and press the play button , Audiosurf loads the song, after this an Exception pops up:

Quote
System.Runtime.InteropServices.SEHException: Eine externe Komponente hat eine Ausnahme ausgelöst.
bei System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.PtrToStructureHelper(IntPtr ptr, Object structure, Boolean allowValueClasses)
   bei System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.PtrToStructure(IntPtr ptr, Type structureType)
   bei Audiosurf_World_Tournament_Program.Asi.GetReply(IntPtr message)
   bei Audiosurf_World_Tournament_Program.Form1.WndProc(Message& m)
   bei System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m)
   bei System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m)
bei System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)

I don't know what to do... I use Windows XP ... I installed Service Pack 3 with everything and the message pops up again =(

Error #37 means that the app couldn't reach the server.

This means your internet connection was off temporarily or the server was down...
