A question of Trademarks-Sig
« on: February 12, 2008, 08:25:29 pm »
Hiya. I'm planing on picking on preordering the game after trying the awesome demo. Anyway, I just have a question regarding making a sig. I don't wanna upset anyone by using your property without athurization, so here's what I had in mind, not great or anything.

I can't speak for them obviously... but I was considering doing the same thing... I would be sure to link back here though... but I can't see why it wouldn't be okay, it's free advertising!

No objection. Spread the word! I like your tag "when just listening isn't enough".

Here's a signature I've been trying to make look good. It shows the shape of the track I last rode and the score I got:

Exactly. It looks like it's tracking finances though doesn't it.

My signature ;) Would be nice to replace that with an AudioSurf one though.. :) Oh and you could try to make it a PNG as well, since that way more forums would allow it to be used as signature/avatar :)

Nice. Will there be some sort of API to extract this data ourselves?

That wouldn't be too hard. If you could pull XML with that data in it, what would you do with it?

If the trackshape signature was a swf would it be usable at many forums? With a swf I could animate a dot on the line to show your current position on the track you're riding.

I think most forums will only accept gif/png/jpg for signatures and avatars.. you could just do both though ;)

XML would be fine, I'm more of an oldschool plain text guy though :P

I would keep it simple (mainly because I can't do flash :p): just a record of your 3 last played or most played songs with their scores and chosen car. Would be easy to do if audiosurf generates an xml file with playerstats :)

Olafski; with xml I can easily pick out the data I need :)

XML is good.

I'd love to see the flash version working as well. Thats would be amazing :D
