multiplayer idea for audiosurf.
« on: February 12, 2008, 03:27:28 pm »
I haven't really tried other modes than mono, but how about a head to head multiplayer mode similar to something like super puzzle fighter, where completing a set of blocks would give gray blocks to the opponent. I just had the thought while playing puzzle fighter on 360, have no idea whether it would actually work within audiosurf but it is just an idea. :)

oops wasn't aware there was a topic started about the topic, I will close it if necessary.

Yours is slightly different, but the same thing applys. Network latency is a major problem...

Any type of multiplayer is a problem because of the users' tracks, very rarely people's music tracks will be identical

that is true about the tracks being different. Perhaps limit the multiplayer to the songs pre-loaded on the game like ob ost and others. also I am not sure latency would be that much of an issue in a game like this if the netcode is decent enough.
