Multiplayer Mode
« on: February 12, 2008, 01:24:04 pm »
Hi there music and game lovers!

I think everybody on Steam would love to play this game online with eachother.
Here's some idea's or what I imagine online would be like:

Basic idea of multiplayer mode:
I encourage some other player (trough Steam) to play some AS; I start the game and I will get to choose if I want to start Single Player or if I want to invite somebody through a friends list (which directs to the Steam friends list); then after choosing a friend to race the interface with the creation options (choosing music etc.) and then I guess it's 'start race!'.

It would be nice to be able to choose wether you want to download the track the players are going to play, and if your personal high score for that track would be saved it would be nice to compare it to those you've raced it with (with a notification that you've been beaten if your online :P [ofcourse optional]).

Please post your idea's / suggestions / comment!

Its really a racing game. Not sure you you were aware of that...

Anyway, good idea. Its possible to make it work but you really need it to have no network latency as even a few miniseconds mater in this game.

Would be nice to have though

Never thought about the latency part, good point!
Would one second of lag really bug us that much?

In one second there could be 5 or 6 cars...
