Bizarre that people are still holding on to IE6. Even when it's very obvious updating it to even IE7 would significantly improve an IT system because 6 is so terribly slow.
What is even more peculiar is that if you stick to the standards, Firefox, Chrome, Opera and even the rash that is Safari will all work perfectly and IE8 is in with a good chance of working in that situation as well. But as long as places like banks tell their customers it's ok to use the standards and security disaster that is IE6, it will remain in common use.
I have a suspicion someone not tech-savvy and not realising the shares situation wrote the IE6 statement though.
