I use Audiosurf for when I want to relax, and Beat Hazard for when I don't.

Interesting, i find myself doing the opposite.

Same here. For some reason, getting the top score to one song is more stress-intensive than trying to scrounge up points on a leaderboard made up of several different (albeit similar length) songs.

There isn't a scoreboard as such to compete on in beat hazard as such though

Wish there was a song-by-song, difficulty-divided scoreboard, like AS has.

Heck, Supreme Commander 2 has a more in-depth scoreboard than Beat Hazard right now...

At least the dropped the one major annoyance, how it varies the volume. That was really annoying.

ya they just need to drop that fucking limiter on the games sound output. omg that thing is annoying.

Sound limiter (which makes the music's volume drop when there are lots of explosions) it's a Windows 7 (and maybe Vista) thing, I don't get that when I'm playing on XP, but I think blue was talking about how the volume of the song is based on the VOL power-up, which you can disable via a config. file...

i know he was talking about vol powerups but they now have a option to keep the volume the same level regardless of vol level i just really hate the limiter it's not even a transparent sounding limiter and it is too aggressive.

I was on about the VOL powerups which you can kill their effect now through a config file. So much nicer now.

Though the AVL with the music and sfx is annoying, but less so than the VOL thing
