Should be possible, seen as AS knows it has steam connection, and what account to give the achievements to.

Well, since AS sends steamid when submitting score, it should still be possible to ban it, at least from AS.

Not really, all it would stop is that person from posting to the scoreboards. Seems reasonable enough to me. They could still play the game, still play other games, just couldn't compete since they'd shown they can't be trusted to do so fairly.

pretty much that is why i think the vac system works so well, if someone cheated in one game chances are they wont stop there, and with this system it really causes the cheater/hacker to have to pay a lot of money if they do get caught since it bans you from all of valve multiplayer games which for most people that is well over 100$ in games.

Though I know someone who had their account hacked and after password recovery he found he'd been vac banned from everything, meaning he'd lost all his online games but not by his fault.

Also, the potential to visit a VAC-secured server that then dumps malcontent "hax" into the game, getting you VAC banned. Not sure if it's possible, but I REALLY don't wanna get VAC'ed for something I didn't do.

Yeah, there was a fiasco with Scatman's World if I remember correctly, where it cheat-beat Lu-Tze and then Lu-Tze reclaimed it on video. It then tried to spin it as if it was trying to 'break' or 'piss off' (or some other weak ass attempt to claim redemption) the people who "take the game too seriously" while maintaining that it is a pro or something at another game.
