What's the narrowest margin by which you've ever dethroned someone, or been dethroned?

Yesterday I played the 8-minute "Song for a Friend" by Jason Mraz and was astonished to find out that I had claimed the Pro throne by a mere 49 points. Seriously, that's like the difference of matching an extra set of purples or something.

I've been dethroned by folks who led me by a few hundred points before, but being within 50 seems a lot like that time Michael Phelps got a gold medal by 0.01 seconds or whatever it was.

How long/difficult was the song? Were you able to keep the throne for long?

I'm sure mine will vanish pretty quickly as the person realizes they've been dethroned by such a small margin and plays the song again.

it last less than 12 hours than it got taken and i had to dethrone them again (which i think it was by something like 10,000 points after that.

I think the lowest margin I've ever been dethroned by was somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 points.

I would assume the person who got the score first.

Since that's how it usually works, if it doesn't internally register both players as throne holders (which I doubt it does)

If I remember correctly, this was the case - the person didn't get a dethroned email and I had second place.

I fixed it a little later though

I once got a score 1 point below the score of the guy defending the throne...little bit frustrating on a 6 min song

I don't check the difference in my thrones or dethrones unless I'm playing against MetalSurfeR, which I don't play against much anymore. But I do know that my closest with a friend in a 3 min mono pro song was 2 points. 2 points against me, that is.

MetalSurfeR's score = mine x 3..... it's heart breaking to look at the difference
