Timing bugs
« on: March 18, 2010, 12:27:59 pm »
I encounter an annoyance every now and then - two actually. The first is when I'm holding a Sort power-up, pick something up and instantly use the Sort it ignores whatever I just picked up - can be a single block, can be another power-up. So I actually have to wait for the block to reach the bottom of the collumn I picked it up into ... quite annoying sometimes, especially with those storm p'ups.

Second one is while holding a paint p'up and overfilling. I can notice the immenent overfill and use the painter. Sometimes, when the timing is right (actually it's "wrong") you paint your board but still get the overfill. Means ghost-mode, one empty collumn and the rest of the blocks painted/gone after the combo-timer is up.

I just think for a game that does not rely on internet connection latency having something which can only be described as "lag" is inappropriate. Also, I'm not looking for a workaround or clever comments on how to improve my gameplay! I just want to bring this to "people's" attention and maybe get it fixed "soon"™ ...

Steve

P.S. Yes, I tried running a search - multiple in fact. Sorry if this is a dead horse.
P.P.S. I like my quotation marks!  :)

both bugs are old and known, I'd suggest you to search about them again, if you still can't find threads about them, PM me and I'll be glad to link you...
