Okay, first post here as I only got AS last night, but I was thinking of visuals and all and thought it may be cool to have some kind of DJ mix-up thing on the tracks which could literally reverse the ship you're playing as, and have you play the game backwards at certain points, almost like a DJ scratching a record.

Like...I have no idea how this would be utilised cos I'm not a computer programmer, but anything that could make the visuals more interesting from different angles, or, hell, even a first person view when playing (though this would be extremely hard) would be nuts!

Some interesting ideas. I don't think the backwards thing would work too well though.

First person view can be accessed through a tag: http://www.audio-surf.com/forum/index.php/topic,3784.0.html

You'd not be able to see what's coming up behind you, would be very hard to play, though still an interesting idea. Though implementation might be hard, where would it be triggered?

Remember what holding the middle mouse button does?

Nope, you can't, and as soon as you release the middle mouse button, the camera goes back to normal...

Nitpicking much? Wink
Obviously the view would move to in front of the ship, perhaps through a smooth slow-down to reverse movement.
However I still don't think it's a particularly good idea.
