Something for those who dont like competition
« on: January 13, 2008, 02:39:33 am »
Okay, so last time, I proposed something to do for those who dont like competing so much, and I have been thinking on this.

 - The unlockables/collectibles are a very good idea.
 - But, something better would be an achievement system, like on microsoft's live! Play hundred songs, you get an achievement. Complete Stealth on five songs, you get an achievement.

This could keep people playing for a long long time, trying to get the hardest achievements.
The achievement system could work perfectly with the profile screen for each player, so you could look what your friends have completed so far.

You get quite a sense of achievement in just besting your own scores.

But I did notice that you get a wee medal over each song that you surf. So... here's my overblown concept idea. Let Audiosurf recognise tags, and it can then recognise whether you've completed an album or not?

I dunno, getting a good solid list of achievements would be quite tricky. Perhaps a sticky for people's ideas on what could be achieved?
