Vegas is ok as it is i think, pointman pro and the pusher characters need buff's then we're good imo :)
That would just be silly power creep though... the other modes were buffed specifically to make them competitive with pointman - and pusher was already buffed. If you buff every single mode you make about 2 years worth of Audiosurf scores irrelevant. Though, unfortunately, that has more or less already happened. The best solution probably would have been to bring Vegas (and eraser most likely)down to a reasonable level as compared with pointman (read: somewhat less rewarding for a somewhat less complex) but it's too late now - it's been too long for a reasonable score rollback and it would make it so that all of the ridiculous scores achieved since the last patch could never be matched.

I still think that a cool update would introduce a new set of scoreboards and and another tickbox below ironmode that adds some difficulty with more traffic, perhaps more colors (5 in pro, 6 in elite?), and would rebalance characters in a way that favors skill and strategy over luck. All the old scores/modes would still stand.

Pointman pro is too weak imo, no point in using it(apart from for fun;)) since eraser and vegas will just wipe it off the boards, even below 100 traffic.
Making old scores irrelavent is no issue, if people no longer play then so what if they lose their places on scoreboard? If they still play then they should have every chance to reclaim their scores, and if their scores actually mattered to them then they would most likely welcome the competition.

Bringing characters down would just be rediculous since you'd have unbeatable scores on the scoreboard then.

It's funny... just yesterday, it was the other way around.

Good times.

Well, that's exactly what Lethargy really wants, don't you? I think most of the opinions here would like to balance the game in THEIR favor, which is completely natural, as humans are self-centered creatures.

I don't think so, theres just a lack of pointman players in pro mode, if you try and get the right portion of luck, you can get pretty high scores within reach of vegas scores:

Playing With Danger (Valve)
Down With The Sickness (Disturbed) (113k in a single match :D)

Id bet that pointman pro could reach most vegas scores, if you just lock the multiplier to x4 ;)

Reducing the multiplier is about the only agreed solution so far

I've seen your pointman pro videos and tbh theres a chasm of difference in the skill required to execute those kind of runs compaired to a lucky vegas run.
Locking the multiplier to x4 sounds like a good idea, might give low traffic songs back to pm pro since the poor fella doesn't really have a place to call home in any style of music atm );

Pointman does require bucket loads of skill above Vegas. Watching videos of Pointman pull off m21 red is just awe inspiring

You didn't read my post, did you? I specifically said we can no longer do that.

Not outspoken, and that's a big difference :)
