Are people really that scared of causing offence they won't post the word nigger in a public forum even when it's purely to explain it to others?

Words are descriptive. All they do is tell you the opinion or motive of the person who said them. They aren't in and of themselves offensive.
As I said. Some people need to grow up.

Pfft, even I have moral standards.

Besides, 80% of people who take offense to that word are going to scream even if it's an explanatory context. (And I'm not sure exactly HOW strict/lax Dylan's profanity rules are)

If it's used in an offensive way ie being used as an insult that's one thing, but mentioning it in general is different. That's how it see it anyway
