Do we have to post here do be eligible for the tournament?  I've played the last two rounds but didn't notice any scores listed for me, although I guess it could be I don't get into the top 8.

May I ask what you AS-Nickname is?

Just 'Malvos', I'm also in the Audiosurf forums Steam group if that helps.

Yep, you didn't make the Top 8, as a matter of fact, you didn't even make the Scoreboards. If you play now, this will already change ;) No Scoreboard is nearly full by now.

Don't forget to retag the Song. Use Virus Tournament Tagger http://www.audio-surf.com/forum/index.php/topic,5924.msg61651.html#msg61651

Sigh, all this application download stuff. I'd nearly stop playing this tournament. Next time, please make the file mp3 again.

Don't worry, this was the only studio file I've got and the largest one by far.

I see no other way to retag flac without downloading any app. Its not because i hate your app, its because i hate downloading apps for stuff that ill be only doing once or twice or maybe trice.

I'd nearly stop playing this tournament.
Cant remember i'd said that, hmmmm.

then you should change your music player... any app that calls itself "music player" should be able to retag flac files, I think even WMP lets you do that...

It does, but it doesn't play flac and it doesn't always save the tags outside your library ;)

Even VLC lets you retag things, and that's so damn small and useful, you'd hardly just use it once.

There's something strange going on with the tagging on this. I guess it's Warriors Heart with no apostrophe? I went from what was blueh4x's page...

It is Warrior's Heart from the song, but the scoreboard doesn't count it.

It seems nhex actually got the Song to be tagges with the apostrophe in Mono. Since the Songtitle contains the apostrophy, but AS removed it from the tags usually, I'll count his score too.

Thanks to everyone for their Participation. A full evaluation of the round will follow later.

I habe decided to expell myself from the Tournament. I expected to be beaten actually, which didn't happen. It's not good if the organisator wins his own tournament. The Overall Scores as well as the weekly Scoreboards will be adapted. I will still play the tournament, but my Score won't count to the tournament, it's simply meant to be a benchmark.

Round 4 Results

Sorry for tripple posting. But I can't stand constant editing...

Since I’ve decided to withdraw my participation on the tournament, some adjustments were made compared to the actual scoreboard. This is the official Result:

Frostshock – 279,057
Ko-Tao – 277,212
Oopla – 269,805

One Swiss Player gone, another is still here. And he is now the leading player in Mono. Too bad Ko-Tao is having motivation issues, in his opinion, this is “low traffic”… Otherwise the duel between these two could be quite interesting. Oopla shows us that he can do much more than just Pointman. The actual reevaluation of the Mono Boards will take some time, but blue_h3x will post the League Tables as soon as they’re updated. I suggest to give him some time.

Eraser

Lu Tze – 829,184
[DL] – 814,411
box full of h3x – 395,648

The expected change in leadership considering the overall Eraser Boards has happened. With another impressive Score, Lu Tze shows us how Eraser is supposed to be played. [DL] actually challenged him, but with the better end for Lu Tze, at least for now. h3x gets his first top 3 Position and beats the former Overall Leader S.Eagle by exactly 10k for 3rd Place.

Pointman

Oopla – 756,790
Lu Tze – 541,014
Jagori – 410,622

Pointman shows a known picture. Oopla leading way before Lu Tze and Jagori coming in third. If somebody is really thinking of challenging Oopla, they have to start so now. At halftime, Oopla leads by 18 Points, having scored all 40 Points possible. Will he actually manage to decide EVERY round for himself? Lu Tze and Jagori are now both at 22 Points, battling for 2nd rank.

Pusher

metaLsurfeR – 816,068
Devil_Spawn – 796,701
Malvos – 531,076

Missing a Name here? Actually yes, Blitzschlag1 did not participate this week. The possible dethrone on the Overall Board however didn’t happen, with a score that could even endanger Eraser-Lu Tze, metaLsurfeR claimed his second victory this season with Devil coming in second. A little treat for Malvos too, who sadly mistagged the last two rounds and is therefore not included by now: He actually makes the Podium on this weeks pusher, claiming his first 6 Points. Glad to have another skilled multi-character player in.

DV

 [DL] – 738,651
darkchao77 – 613,178
S.Eagle[NL] – 355,275

10 points it was at first, 4 are left after round 4. Darkchao77 still leads the overall DV Scoreboard, with [DL] still catching up. Why are these three on the Podium? Because they are the only ones who played DV. Too Bad…

I also realised: Only metaLsurfeR has entered a correct suggestion for the name contest. Did you even read the opening post? ^^ So I’ll extend the deadline. I’ll keep it up until the very end of the tournament. I’ll keep remembering you about it, but if you don’t send in a suggestion until December 27th, you won’t get your extra point.

The question was: What does the Name “Thaurorod” of the finnish Symphonic Power Metal Band mean, and/or where does it come from. You only need to submit either meaning or Origin correctly, if one of them is right, you’ll get the point. Only one Submission per player.
