Why would you want to remove that?

we've got a plasma-tv and i already had issues with HUDs ...not burning in, but they showed up up to a week after playing(was with gta4 & the radar/map) - they disappeared, yeah, but my mum would freak out if she sees something like that...
sui

edit: or is there any possibility to remove the complete HUD? that would be cool, because the game would more play like a real visualiser(that right spelled?) and less than... a game(and i dont need the HUD anyway Grin)

I think I get what you mean, the constant line leaves a ghosted image on your plasma screen. As far as I am aware, that's part of the UI and you can't get rid of it

If HUD's burn into or whatever they do, I would recommend buying a better screen :/

It's an issue with plasma screens, they suffer horribly from screen burn, however LCDs and TFTs don't. Plasma screens took off before LCD was reliable for larger screens, though have since been surpassed by LCD and TFT.

I hate to say something incredibly stupid, but what's wrong with your computer monitor?

suicicoo says they have a plasma screen, which do suffer from screen burn, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plasma_screen#Screen_burn-in
and the white bar on the screen that shows track time remaining is going to cause screen burn.

I was asking about the computer monitor, since they mentioned they are using the tv screen.

its a much better experience playing on a 40" tv than on a 15" laptop-screen Wink
especially, when i can hook up my desktop-pc to the tv and the pc is much faster than the laptop - so i can play in premium mode Smiley
