Or if youre using wav files etc, like so:

song.wav

becomes

song[as-steep].wav

b-b-bump

There's probably some sort of "threshold" that the track algorithm runs to pick out the parts of the audio that should generate blocks. All I want is a tag to adjust that threshold.

I know about all the tags and use [as-steep] already...
It does nothing for songs that are already entirely downhill but have little traffic.

Read the OP ViRUS ;)

The best solution to that is just play a different song I guess.

I've got plenty of hard songs that still challenge me. I'm requesting this because I want to make some of my favorite songs more fun.

As the track depends on the song it's self, by this very nature some songs are going to be less interesting to play. That's just how it is.

and also try puzzlers out they blow away the notion of a perfect run and you can always improve upon a run.

These songs should be interesting but the track generator fails to do them justice.

I don't see why you're saying "That's just how it is.", the point of this thread is to request the implementation of a workaround.

Anyway, for slow songs that seem like they should be faster try [as-steep].
If mono gets too boring (which happens when it gets too easy), you should try switching to a puzzle character. That's what I did.

I guess I should have declared this from the start: Don't let my low post count deceive you. I'm not a newbie.

I'll keep it short. Not a fan. As-steep works well enough for me. Want something faster? Download some of Lu Tze's modified .ash songs.
Audiosurf is like a mix of tetris, need for speed and pot... Look at all the colours, dude!

Not seen you dominating the score boards though

WHat does that have to do with anything? I've had AS since beta and I doubt anyone on this forum ever sees my scores.

Since when do mono players dominate score boards? Regardless, I mostly play obscure songs.

I play Audiosurf to enjoy it, not to compete.

This request isn't about speed, it's about traffic.

Download some of Lu Tze's modified .ash songs.
So.. you're saying features shouldn't be added and instead we should have to hack it?
