Beta Tester Discount?

Since this game will not be free (as in yer gotta pay money) Ive got this one question...

Will there be a discount for Beta Testers?

It makes sense with controlled groups of beta-testers, e.g. at Valve, where beta-testers really test the game and give a lot of feedback through interviews and focus groups. As yxxxx said, in case of Audiosurf it's reward enough to be able to play it for free and enjoy it before everyone else.

Yeah, really. We got to play the game and give feedback, that's a discount enough for me. Anyway, a good portion of the people buying the game in the end will be from the Beta. Lots of profit would be lost if they all got discounts, at least towards the beginning.

do the math - what is 3% of 20 dollars...
3% of anything even close the the price of this game - will be practically nothing.

Even then, chances are, the majority of people that will end up buying this game will be people that WERE beta testers. Not to knock this game, any, but it just really isn't that well known about, being an indie game like it is. So, a discount for beta testers would be pointless if nearly all the people that end up buying the game are beta testers.

Here's an idea for a beta tester bonus- Give us the privilege of buying it early.

Alternately, you could consider our suggestions and mention people in the credits if theirs were implemented.
