Hi!
Here is yet another crazy modified-ash-file challenge for all fast players out there:

http://www.mediafire.com/?hmhwlyxawju

So, once again, put the .ash file in your Steam\steamapps\common\audiosurf\engine\audiosurfHC folder, and don't rename the .mp3 file. The song is part of the Red Alert 3 soundtrack, but the tags and it's name have been altered so you won't pollute the original scoreboard.
So, enjoy! The track layout will surprise you...

PS: If you want to make it even more crazy, try playing the song with banking camera!

So, basically, this means that if anyone finishes this I will have absolutely no chance at ever getting top score for that song.  Good job, guys.

If you're going to distribute modified ash files, make sure the song in question has the tag [modified] on the end, to keep it simple and fair for others.  Reupload the ash with that name requirement and it will be okay.

I am completely and utterly confused with what you just said. seriously... I can't even guess what that means. Explain?

Why is [modified] required?

So it would submit the score to another scoreboard not the one song normally has thus making it impossible for anyone throne the song with original ash.

um? It's already tagged Lu Tze - Invasion of the reds ... and it has like 5 tags on the end of it. ?? :o I c though. I didn't take into consideration that he hadn't looked at it already.

Download link as Lu Tze had posted earlier: http://www.mediafire.com/?hmhwlyxawju

The song is tagged as Artist=Lu Tze (obviously I didn't write it myself), and the title is also different from the original, so it does not upload the scores to the original scoreboard. Actually, I did this for all my modified songs (except for Eurofighter, but that song is mistagged anyway...).

So, I reinserted the link to the original download in my first comment, since I think the reason for your suggestion is to make sure people won't pollute the original score board which won't happen in this case. If you nevertheless think a [modified] tag MUST be included in the song title, I will keep that in mind for the future, however.

this one seemed pretty stupid - just go double vision, position the right* car between both tracks and then hit block with the left one, and then pray you dont randomly overfill

Haha, well spotted... but if you try it, you will find out that it doesn't quite work. It took me 5 tries to finish it without overfilling (remember, minimum match size is 9!), and since you have 4 lanes, it easily happens that you just have an isolated match 7 on one lane which causes an overfill. And then there are the whites... you really have to think twice before collecting one, and sometimes you cannot avoid it. So, yes, DVE wins on this track, but it's not easy at all.

Overall it's meant as a speed practice, however, which is also why the match duration is so short. I think YouShouldBeWriting had a nice mono-colored-blocks-only video, and this is basically the most extreme possible version of that. So, I don't think we will ever see someone getting a Seeing Red on this song ;)

The song is also somewhat suitable for practicing DVE, since while you cannot (and don't have to) worry about every block, you have to think ahead somewhat to avoid overfills with or without whites, while managing both lanes at once.

Luck  8)

or intentional overfill. With so many points, 100k less don't really matter.

No, if you renamed the song also, it goes to a different scoreboard is fine.  However, this is now distributing the song, which is also frowned upon, being why I suggested you giving out the ash for 'song name' with some form of [modified] on the end so that people who already own the song can play it.
