Nope, the full version wont be free. Hence all the protection and limits on the demo and beta versions.

I hope Steam doesn't get this game. Not everyone has broadband, and Steam practically requires a broadband connection to work.

Does it? I mean I don't have experience with Steam and a say 64 kbit connection. So I wouldn't know. But did you actually experience this yourself? Personally I like Steam and wouldn't mind if they offered this game.

I wouldn't mind if Steam got it, but you still have to pay or the game Wonkka. So not sure what you mean with play without pay if Steam gets it.

Steam will work fine on slower connections, but just like any download it'll take ages. personally, i'd love to see this game on both Steam and CD, that way those with slow connections can still get it easily.

still not entirely sure what you mean by that...

oh, and still no word on when the next beta weekend is? seems a bit late to start it this week...

Ah I see. Makes perfect sense, of course. It sounded like it wouldn't work without a broadband connection. To get back to the topic I'd like to try it out this weekend, too. I can't wait to get some hands-on experience with Audiosurf.

The game is running perfectly here right now. I'm playing since 1 hour ago and the server still running. I think Beta Weekend 3 have already began.

I still get a "beta expired - update" message, so maybe you (like another user here yesterday - see here) caught Dylan trying to reproduce a bug report.  But that's just a guess.  Either that, or maybe you're playing the demo, possibly?

The version I've tried yesterday was from this post at indiegames.com. Apparently it was exclusively to be used during Beta Weekend 2. Strider, where did you get your version from?
