Audiosurf Score Browser
« on: April 12, 2009, 05:19:43 pm »

It's ugly, big and simple... But it works :P

I think I don't have to say much about this addon... Just write an Artist, a Title, hit the "Search!" button and you have the three scoreboards... I'll add it to AHOAA soon...

Anyway, enjoy...

EDIT: Oh, and you shouldn't use it with a resolution lower than 1024x768...

Looks like it adapts the links you find in dethroned emails.

Green = listening, red = surfing

It's fairly easy to do yourself, just adapt the url: http://www.audio-surf.com/gamesite_fetchscores.php?league=2&aname=dragonforce&sname=through+the+fire+and+flames

league=0 is casual, 1 is pro, 2 is elite.
aname is the artist name.
sname is the song name.
Spaces work fine, although the emails you get use + signs, which work as well.

Obviously this mod makes it easier though. :)

Well, now that its ruined, you get to make it better :P

Add pretty pictures and colors.  Perhaps additional features (what they would be, I have no idea... be creative).

instead of just showing the html like it is you could prolly extract the needed information from it and presnet it in a better way, i took a look at the code for that web page and it's very simple

If you download the source code for Super Playlist Surf there's a class in there (written in C#) that extracts it all into nice arrays of highscore objects which contain the name, character and score.

I'm a lazy programmer... This program stays as it is now... :)

You're welcome to create a rip-off of it with a nicer interface though :P

You could add another row below the top score displaying what score you need to beat it.

Example

Elite
someone 200k something
| 129k - 136k |
someone2 190k something
....

As for the needed scores, just use one with m21+cf+sr+bn and one with m21+cf.

Of course, you could make those customizable.
