Fullscreen of Death
« on: January 12, 2008, 02:41:38 am »
Sooooo im not quite sure what i did, but Audiosurf is broken now. I windowed it for a second to post about the ampersand bug and then it decided that windowed mode meant windowed at 1480x964 for whatever reason. So i clicked the change resolution button and set it for 1024x768. It resized normally.
Anyway i realised that you can pick any resolution you want in the change res window and even if you click 'windowed' it doesnt change the audiosurf window size. So i was playing around a bit more and manually resized the audiosurf window to some random size and now all Audiosurf does is continually try to go fullscreen to some random resolution and it cant. so it flashes in and out of being fullscreen.
The odd thing is that i think it's trying to go 1024x768 because i can see if showing up as a gray box in the topleft of my screen at about that size, but it wont go fullscreen. Eventually i have to just kill it because im seizuring from all the res flashing

There's a file in your install directory called config.ini that has this in it:
resolutionwidth: autodetect
resolutionheight: autodetect
runfullscreen: false

Please try changing it to this:
resolutionwidth: 640
resolutionheight: 480
runfullscreen: false

Note that there's another bug, the game doesn't actually read the value of 'runfullscreen' and always try to go fullscreen when you click play.
