Hey, is there any way to change the background back to normal?

That's a real good one Gamergull.  Who thought such a simple concept could come off so well.  It's an amazing job.

I made one that is a bit of a city scape.  It turned out completely different than I had originally planned, but for the better in my eyes.

How to get this?

In your zip is the purple, red one from him

i havnet tried any of these yet but i think it would give a cool effect if the skydome had a very obvious top and bottom to it that way you would get a better sense of how steep the track is
I don't know why, but your post gave me a very good idea! Try this! Going uphill is purple, and going downhill is red. I made it in 5 minutes and 3 layers, so I'll be off refining it now 8) .

Make sure you backup whatever before using this.

You should verify the game through Steam and the files should appear in %steam%\SteamApps\common\audiosurf\engine\textures where %steam% is the path to your Steam install. This is typically C:\Program Files\Steam
Australia is kinda awesome, but it's no Yorkshire.

They don't exist by default, you add them to get a custom background.

blue_h3x: I did verify the game through Steam, twice, but the files didn't pop up.
Mincus: so, if I add those files, will I lose the original backgrounds? I mean... I would like to make a bakcup of white/black/grey just in case I want those back later, the problem is that I can't see the "Skysphere" anywhere.

You can get the default backgrounds back by deleting the custom ones. You don't need to back anything up.

Here is the Sky Sphere I use. Great quality, in my opinion.
