Options Editor
« on: March 17, 2009, 10:31:25 am »
Quick app I've knocked together.
Just provides easy controls for editing the config.ini and options.ini files.

Features:
 - Shiny colour picker for selecting block colours.
 - Sliders with values.
 - Anti-Aliasing options (drop-down list, but if you want higher just put x16 etc in the box).
 - List for screen modes (asks Windows what your monitor/card can do, so it's accurate).
 - Reset to defaults buttons.

See screenshot for the rest.
Will open source it if there's demand.

Touchscreen?!

There's an option that (I assume) can be either 0 or 1 in options.ini (http://audiosurf.wikia.com/wiki/Option_Files#options.ini).
I have no idea what it does, but there's a checkbox there if you have a tablet laptop and want to try it.

Bah..
I've no easily accessible XP install at the moment (only Windows 7 and Linux) so not sure what the problem could be.
It works on Windows 7 64-bit. :D

Guess I'd better install VirtualBox and have a play.

Cool - thanks Mincus!  It runs fine for me on XP32.

BTW, the touchscreen option currently does nothing.  I created a version for HP to test on their touchsmart that keeps the vehicle under your finger and haven't heard back from them yet.  I need to go back and tie that code into the option so other people can try it.

Ah, so that's what touchscreen is for.
That might work better for the wiimote as well actually, since it will take an absolute screen position instead of a relative one (which might cause problems if you swung too far).

ViRUS: Just you having problems it seems. ;)
Try the copy attached to this. It's compiled for .NET 2.0 instead of 3.5 which might make a difference.
Is there any particular reason you've not got SP3 installed?
I can't currently get it to work in a VM, but it's just a clean SP2 install right now (no updates) so not sure how reliable that is.

Still no luck with that one.

Oh, and I don't have SP3 installed because the only CD I had with me the last time I formatted was an SP2 one, and then school started, along with my english classes so I don't really have the time to update/reinstall right now. I need my PC fully functional for any "surprise" essay/homework/etc they may give me. Anyway, I'm sure I'll be formatting my PC again as soon as Win7 RC goes out (which should be around the 10th of April if I read correctly), I'm really anxious about it :P

Ok, I've let XP update itself with everything except SP3.
Chucked all the optional updates on as well.
And it works without issue.

Are you absolutely SURE you have .NET 3.5 installed?

100% sure, I installed it when I installed Paint.net, and also all the other Addons you posted work, and mine ones too.
