« on: February 02, 2009, 03:45:50 pm »
http://media.audio-surf.com/Audiosurf_UnicodeUpgrade_2.2.09.zip

Just download the zip file and extract it to Steam\steamapps\common\audiosurf\. Then run the game as normal.

Changes:
--Resolved incompatibility with Vista and Catalyst 9.1
--Fixed bug with unicode paths sent to Quicktime (for m4a files)
--No longer deletes Audiosurf Overture when cleaning up old radio files
--Realigned the medal revealer
--Road surface is slightly less transparent

--Realigned the medal revealer

Was this to do with the left side of the medal icons being cut off?

I originally set it up so that a little copper was revealed before you earned any points, but now decided it's better to start it completely covered. Also, it hasn't looked right ever since the top and bottom bars got fades to transparent.

Ah yeah, I always noticed the bit of copper as soon as the song started when I had 0 points. Better completely covered imo.

Oh please God, tell me that's not you on the russian intro video! xD!

EDIT:

Just a small opinion: Wouldn't it be better to introduce the medals slowly one by one from right to left instead of uncover them?

Another suggestion: Visualizer should only use Black or Grey backgrounds (use White and you'll see why I'm saying this :P)

It works fine if you aren't in premium graphics, but yeah, it completely goes white if you are.

I was playing with Vegas and had all 4 lanes about to overfill (with the ! sign), and a Rainbow Storm powerup appeared on a shoulder, I decided to stay on it but when I hit the powerup, it overfilled my left lane to put the three rainbow blocks. IIRC, when you have a lane about to overfill all it does is to disappear the powerup without doing anything. Is this the new behavior of the Rainbow Storm powerup?

It's impossible to log in with this update if your password contains a Unicode-character. I was hoping to help by trying this out, but now it's a no-go.

The specific character in my case was £.

DarkAlf, do you have to press ALT to write £ on your password?

I'm pretty sure I've had Rainbow Storm overfill on me a couple times over the months....

DarkAlf: Did you create the account with the unicode password before installing the unicode upgrade?

No, £ is shift + 3.

No, £ is shift + 3.

Depends on the keyboard. UK keyboards (understandably) have it easy to access at shift-3, but on a US keyboard that's # and you need to use alt+random contortion for £.
All very annoying. It's only in the last couple of years that OS installs have started auto-detecting UK keyboards. :P

You can't do the £ symbol on spanish keyboards, only €, so if you have to write that one, you have to go to Windows' character map :\
