So if I spend more money for a song I can use it wherever I want?

Screw that still.  iTunes sucks balls.  I'll stick to Windows Media to use my MP3s, and not some facist music program and "pod"

Spending more money as opposed to buying it... where exactly?

Step in the right direction, but since it's not a lossless format, Apple are unwilling to let you re-download things, iTunes being generally pretty crap (no OGG or FLAC support) and still having the general music industry problem of near nothing getting to the artists, it's not enough to make me go near it I'm afraid.

Step in the right direction. Next step: ditch the m4a format.

I still vote for iTunes to be scrapped.

Not sure about scrapped.
Just needs an entirely new interface, songs to be sensibly priced and lossless and to accept standard audio codecs...

Oh, I see what you mean.

I used to like iTunes, but it's just gotten progressively worse with every update. I've only ever bought one album from iTunes before and that was because the digital download was only available on iTunes.  I do have an iPod so I'm forced to use it when I want to update songs in my iPod. :-X Otherwise, I'll use media player when on my computer.

TombRaiser: Other programs support most iPods, it's only the touches and iPhones that aren't. In fact a significant portion of Linux players support them. WinAMP does for instance.

My main issue with Windows Media Player is that it does what most Microsoft programs do: You will do things the MS way or not at all. It's base support on a fresh Windows install is pretty poor, but that is easily remedied. I don't like the UI either. But I'm fussy with media players, I don't particularly like WinAMP, but it's the best of a bad lot from what I've used.

Under Linux I use AmaroK, which again I have issues with, but works for the most part. Keep meaning to write my own. :P

90% of the internet also believes 4chan doesn't.  Doesn't mean a thing.  Now, if it were 90% of computer users, that's something different altogether...
