Neo-Classical/ Electronic Music (Free)
« on: December 29, 2008, 12:15:29 pm »
Hey, here's a few songs i made using FL Studio 8. i enjoy them, hopefully you will too.

my favorite instruments are the piano and violin, yet i'm also a big fan of electronic music. most of these tracks blend the two together for a neo-classical/electronic feel. All piano is played and recorded then layered, while synthesizing is done in FL Studio.

All songs were created using FL Studio 7 and/or 8 XXL. Encoded using LAME mp3 in 320kbs/sec, studio quality. Please do not redistribute without my permission. questions or comments are appreciated, please PM me or leave a post here. You can also find me on Audiosurf as "Stealthymoose25" and Xbox Live under the same name. Songs are packaged in a compressed .RAR.

Song List:
Ave Maria Redux- lightly inspired by a classical favorite of mine Ave Maria. (60 BPM)
Broken- the most electronic song Ive made, just an experiment, messy and gritty. (100 BPM)
Morphine- designed and synthesized mainly with the Morphine synthesizer, hence the name. (120 BPM)
Piano Projekt 2- one of a series of songs, dubbed "piano projekts"....piano fused with electronica. (100 BPM)
Piano Projekt 3- one of a series of songs, dubbed "piano projekts"....piano fused with electronica. (140 BPM)
Science of Man- sweeping violin back dropped by a deep bass and snare beat (100 BPM)
What I Found (Instrumental Reprise Remix)- originally a demo song for FL Studio, liked the way it sounded so i remixed it...lighthearted. (120 BPM)

i have other songs, and when I'm not doing work for college, working, partying, or playing xbox/audiosurf I'm usually fiddling around with FL Studio so more to come possibly.

Any comments and suggestions are appreciated, please keep negative comments as civilized as possible.

*Editted
After replaying "Ave Maria Redux i realized that the ID3 tags are incorrect and label it as "Piano Projekt 5....while back in the day it was in fact PP 5, after numerous changes and reworkings of the original file, i decided it no longer would be called PP 5. Audiosurf and the leaderboards will have Ave Maria Redux listed as Piano Projekt 5, in case there is any confusion.

My opinion:
I played the songs, and they were nice...but unfortunately, that was all. It may just not be my kind of music, but it never really sounded GREAT, only just good all the time - nothing really stood out to make me think 'whoa, this part is awesome' or anything. On the other hand, I must say the drums were really good - there were one or two moments where I thought 'hm, the drums are nice' (I myself can never get drums to work well in FL, so it's pretty impressive stuff).

As for the download: I don't think RapidSharing a 90MB RAR file with all of the songs will get many people to download your songs (it took pretty long to download). It may be more convenient for downloaders to upload the songs one by one to a site like last.fm or something, and give individual song download links.

drums by far i found to be the hardest thing to do in FL...its just not streamlined and finding the right timing is just hard so i hear you on that one....and believe me i dont think these are great either...just a side thing i do on rainy days and such.

as for the size issues i see what your saying, i was just thinking it'd be easier to get them as a whole package...but im working off a college network that has probly much faster bandwidth then home users so my bad on that oversight.

as for the .rar, .zip issue...i was under the impression that .rar is the new base of compression. winrar is a light program as a far as im concerned that opens .zip's, .rar's and most other archives with a much better interface...but again my oversight on that one.

thanks for your opinions
