Was there a problem in the past that resulted in this policy?

Not on the computers I am responsible for! My little department has 4 huge macs and I've always been taking care of them without problems. The helpdesk of my company doesn't even know how to take care of our computers, because we use different software (of course) then the rest of the company. However, too many of the other 346 people kept on screwing their little laptops with MS Office
so they decided to put password on ALL computers... Now everytime I have to do something (which the helpdesk can't do), I have to ask them if they would be so kind to enter the password...

Yes, and you can take whatever you could add to THAT discussion to the thread for it. This thread needs renaming, but I'm not sure to what.

Half of it doesn't have anything to do with Audiosurf, and the other half has already been said there. I think the only reason this thread didn't die is because I was actually interested in what he had said about his company.

Nah, Atari's no fun, it's supported by SDL so has a modern framework, plus colour.
Was going for the uber-uber-retro thing with the PDP-1, was one of (if not the) first computer to have a graphical game written for it.

Well, then, how about going with the complete opposite end and get a version for the Cray computers?

Audio-Surf is made with Quest3D, so I don't think Dylan can do anything about a port. Although, if the makers of Quest3D decide to make version of their product for OSX, porting Audio-Surf might be as simple as clicking a button. He could also completely remake it from scratch. Making an Xbox360 version would probably be easier then a MAC version.
