Where's the Mac-version?
« on: December 08, 2008, 01:27:31 pm »
I bought Audiosurf yesterday. Man, what an addictive game this is!!! Really great! Before you know it you've played the same tune over and over again just to get the score a bit higher. Right now I totally suck at it, I have to say, but I am already improving, however slightly.

I've got one big problem though: at my work we only have Mac's. How am I supposed to pass the time at work without Audiosurf?!?!? I need a Mac-version badly! Please! Come on, give it to me!

;D

Anyway, this game rocks (pun intended).

The answer to one of your questions:  whatever you did before you found Audiosurf.  You can play it through whatever program simulates Windows on Macs.  Don't ask me what the name is though.

Don't be expecting a port to Macs soon either.  More information can be found and discussed here: http://www.audio-surf.com/forum/index.php/topic,2253.0.html

EDIT:  I was thinking Wine, but then thought "No, that's Linux."  You can tell I only use Windows.

I know. ;) My post wasn't meant too seriously altogether btw: I just wanted to say how much I like Audiosurf in a more original way then simply 'I like it', because that would hardly be worth a new topic. I think. ::) ;)

Wine and Bootcamp or whatever are no options because I can't install anything on 'my' Mac. :-\

Do other people use the same computer, or is it just company policy?

QFT ;)

If you can't install anything, even if you had a Mac version of Audiosurf you couldn't play it because it would need installing...

Do you not have access to any other computer at all? oO

I know, I know, but as I said, I wasn't really looking for a Mac-version...  ::) ;) This is getting out of control. ;D

I'm a graphics designer, so that makes Macs quite logical. But the company I work for, with around 350 employes, is Mac only, while graphic design is not the core business! Quite rare, afaik.

I don't think you have an option really then on the Mac side of things. :(

Grabbing a cheap PC is probably the best bet. Audiosurf doesn't need much on the minimal graphics settings.
Depends how much you want to play Audiosurf though.
