So I'm gonna speculate that he'll be passed out on a sidewalk/pavement somewhere from partying too hearty by the time midnight rolls around.

   Wellllll, yeah.   But I could have been in Iran...(rereads "...with my wife as we both send emails...") okay...not Iran 

But there's a handful of cities in India that have 'half-hour' time zones, and IIRC Darwin, Australia is in one, as well... 

But I love the fact that we Newfies have so few people here that the TV networks don't bother airing things seperately for us, we just have to bump our schedule by a half-hour from the Maritimes, which gives life to the following joke:

"The world ends at midnight....Twelve-thirty in Newfoundland."
