Hi!
I made my own trance compilation by mixing seven trance songs in a way that the track becomes increasingly difficult towards the end. The result is 26 minutes long. I also modified parts of the ash file, to make the track somewhat more difficult (in particular the last two songs).

Here are links to the zip-file:

http://www.mediafire.com/?mzezmjhmj3t

(there used to be more, but it seems they are offline now)

It contains the song, the ash-file, and a short explanation about how to use the ash-file, in case you don't know what an ash-file is.

Wow that was ridiculous... how did you manage to not overfill with pointman?  Thanks for the fun ride, one of the most intense I've seen.  I was surprised I managed to keep a pretty clean board most of the time with pusher
Walk in to the club I'm like "what up, I got big queue"

Yeah, Pointman is really difficult, but for superfast parts there is trick: Play it like Mono! Just run into yellow and red (or only just red) blocks, try to not to hit too many other blocks, and if you do, collect some more to make a match so they disappear again (by using the Pointman ability this is not so difficult). And it might be better to avoid whites most of the time, they have a tendency to make things very complicated if two of them land in the wrong place.
You don't really get the maximum amount of points that way, but it works surprisingly well.
Also, glad you enjoyed it, anyone else want to try?

Nice ride, Devil ;)
:D

i think ken would have beat me if he had clean finish, but im sure i could beat my score

will broadcast any more runs if anyone would like me too.

Oh and also, i like this whole ash modifying thing and i like endurance things. please make more :D

i do however think on a couple of the songs towards the end you were a little mean with the lack of high scoring blocks. MOAR PLZ :D

Great!
Yeah, I will upload something like this again, with modified ash-files.

As for the block distribution, I can't really tell Audiosurf to put a red block here or a green block there... I can only tell it to increase/decrease the amount of blocks at some place and make a part faster/slower, as well as randomly add some blocks, and I have no idea really how the colors are determined...

Also, there are certain upper limits for the block density. Unfortunately! :D

Oh, and cool images, Virus. Did you do this by customizing the colors?

Yes, I got bored of the default Audiosurf colours so I changed them, here's my actual config:

It may not work so good for puzzle characters (sometimes 80 points blocks get confused with white blocks) but it's really good for mono characters as it makes the game fully powered on high speed songs and really 'turned off' on slow songs...
