Try this:

1. Open YAAP
2. Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC
3. Go to Processes
4. Find 'Yet Another Audiosurf Player.exe' and click it
5. Click 'End process' and then 'Yes'
6. Open YAAP and answer 'Yes', everything should be fixed now

Showing all features 5 by 5. Thanks for the help. My first post is a done deal.

Nice!
Although the Windows 7 bits don't work if you have the "small icons" tickbox checked, unfortunately.

Also, one nice feature would be to have hotkeys for skipping backwards/forwards through playlists in full-screen mode.
Can be done quite easily, take a look at the function here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms646309%28VS.85%29.aspx
Just remember to unregister it before you close. :)

hey Mincus, what do you mean by "Windows 7 bits don't work"? I just tried all the Win7 features that YAAP uses (progress bar on taskbar & thumbnail buttons) and they work fine using small icons and small icons, always combined :/

Oh and thanks for the link, I'll be sure to check it out ;)

Well I made these screenshots... Then I remembered I'm still using the RC evaluation copy, so it may well be that. However since I've taken them anyway and on the off chance I'm right, I'll post the screenshots.

First: Big icons in standard 'orrid Win7 format, combined. YAAP play symbol does work.
Second: Small icons in standard 'orrid Win7 format, combined. YAAP play symbol does NOT work.
Third: Big icons in olde stylee Windows format, never combine. YAAP play symbol does work.
Fourth: Small icons in olde stylee Windows format, never combine. YAAP play symbol does NOT work.

Same applies for the progress bar (which works for other things btw).

I'm using Win7 retail, and the issues are present as well. Never noticed them as I play full screen all the time.

The only reason why might be because you use separate icons for large and small, should work otherwise :s

hey, I just noticed that foobar2000 doesn't have an icon when 'Small icons' is checked:

maybe it's the intended behaviour?

I've always used small icons and never seen that, so it probably is an intended feature to stop cluttering.

Fair enough.
I don't really like the new 7 taskbar. It's too "OS X app launcher is a UI disaster area" like. :P
So I use it like the olde Windows style. Although I don't really like that too much either... But at least it isn't two clicks to get to a window when I have more than one open in that app.
Sorry for the false alarm. :D

YAAP is STILL not working for me at all, using Vista Home Premium x64 bit version, (both processor and OS).  I'd love to use this, but, for the life of me, I can't figure out _-*WHY*-_ it is not working.  Anyone have any advice, and specific files that might be missing?  Any reports/diagnostics I can run to see what might be the problem?  Please advise.

Thanks, Mapsking

Maybe try clearing the registry of YAAP keys, a bad key entry once caused it not to work for me

im pretty sure it is intended to wok like that even in the linux side of things kde tends to use less detail icons and dosnt show icon emblems at really small sizes for the sake if keeping the icon clear and easy to distinguish. windows prolly does the same.
