Found a rather unpleasant bug with the tagging centre:
1. Open a playlist, any playlist.
2. Tag it, doesn't matter what.
3. Re-open the same playlist.
4. Head to the tagging centre and you can tag it again.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you get bored.
Also, you can right-click and select "tag selected songs" as many times as you want.
I suggest the easiest way to solve this is to remove all tags from a song title BEFORE applying any new ones.
Easiest way is to just delete everything after the first instance of "[as-", but I think I've told you that before.
at least you can remove all the repeated tags with just one click on the "Untag" button
But yes, I'll fix that...

Also, am I not seeing it or is there STILL no way to wait until the character screen before moving to the next song?
I really want to see my score and I keep returning to SPS as a result of this one missing thing.
I'll add that on 3.1, it's just that I never found a way to implement that without activating/deactivating it being too much of a hassle (having to unfullscreen AS to deactivate it in YAAP and such), but now with the hotkeys it should be far easier...

Overall a solid release from what I've tested so far though.
Thanks! I don't get much feedback here so I really appreciate it!

Just wait for the character screen message from Audiosurf after a song has finished.

yes, I meant a hassle for the user...
if they want to stop YAAP advancing to the next song when they reach the characters screen, they'd have to unfullscreen Audiosurf, get back to YAAP, deactivate that option and then get back to AS... I always found that bothering.
but as I said, using the hotkeys that should be far easier to do

Hey, ViRUS, just wanted to let you know I finally downloaded and started playing around with this, but I first opened it from a flash drive and it got an error. Is that a problem with the way it works? Not really important, and it could have also been because it was on my school's computers that are weirder than if someone who thought technology was the devil had a computer. But the point is, it had an error immediately on opening. I could click continue, and (as far as I checked) it would run fine. ?

Hmm, it shouldn't have any problems running from USB drives... Can you remember the error message, or maybe get a pic of it? (unless it was the generic "...has encountered a problem..." message, then don't bother
)
Oh, BTW, 3.1 may get a bit delayed due to the new... "achievement" I earned D:

I can try again tomorrow if we're on the computers at school again. It wasn't that generic thing, it had 3 buttons and they were like Exit, Continue, and Ignore or something like that. Kind of like what happens when you're programming in VB.NET and it doesn't like where a command is coming from(not that you probably know what I'm talking about
)

Doubleposting for update:
It seems to have problems connecting to Audiosurf when Steam is offline.
EDIT: Scratch that, it just has problems. I'll try a clean install.
EDITEDIT: Nope, still not working. It connected on my XP computer, but not on the Vista laptop. I am definitely connected to the internet, you know that my Audiosurf is a legit copy, I don't need .NET apparently... ?
EDITEDITEDIT:Randomly connected now, only thing of note that happened was the comp installed some updates. However, it truncated ALL of my playlists to the exact same thing: the Portal Prelude album and the DWP album. This, out of what the largest one was almost 1400 songs(I was making a 'shuffle all' playlist). Any clue?

Maybe the updates did something to .NET and YAAP could work after that :/
Also, I had it truncating playlists at some specific songs too, editing the ID3 info of these songs (maybe just add "1" at the end of the title, save the new info, open it again and remove the "1", and save it again) fixed it for me...
If you have any more problems, just let me know, I might be a bit slow at responding due to my PC being fsked up but I do read the forums...

I'm getting this error with the new version (3.0).
Code:
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
If I tell it to continue YAAP will still open, but when I try to add songs to a playlist is doesn't show them. The list is empty, but it will still tag the songs.
The previous version I was using was 2.8 and the issue only occurs on my Win 7 64-bit Home Premium desktop, not my Vista 64-bit Ultimate laptop, in case that information can help.

try right-clicking YAAP's executable, click "Run as Administrator", change your Playlists folder and then close and open YAAP again, this time without Administrator rights...

Didn't work, still getting the same error.
One more difference between the laptop and desktop is that on the laptop Steam (and thereby Audiosurf) and YAAP are on the C drive, while the desktop has Steam and YAAP on a G drive.

hmm, strange, the "System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))" line is telling me that Windows isn't permitting YAAP to do something it wants (since it's happening as soon as you start it, I guess it can't write the "running" file).
Did it show the error when you ran it as an Admin? If it didn't, try running it WITHOUT Admin rights, and then change your Playlists folder, it should tell you if it can't write on the folder you selected...

Even when running as Admin it throws the error. It is making a running file though.

Hmm, that's strange... Try this, open YAAP, go to Options, Page 1, and click "Erase all data from the registry", then "Yes". Please note that you'll have to reconfigure everything after you restart YAAP.
