mmos that require skill to play?
« on: September 14, 2008, 07:25:42 am »
ok so lately ive been feeling the urge to play an mmorpg but all the ones ive ever played require absolutely no skill to actually play. all the combat system in games like WOW and perfect world is left click on the mob to attack and wait for it to die and occasionally hit a potion or spell. are there any mmo's that have a combat system more like oblivion where you have to actively defend or attack?

http://www.perfectworld.com.my/
(id link to wow too but everyone knows what that one is)

It's a shitty grinding MMO like the other 10 billion from Malaysia. No MMOs require skill.

yeah sadly this is true but i still feel the urge to play one every now and then, i was only ever drawn to perfect world because of its insane amount of character tweaking. the only mmo ive played that even comes close to requiring skill would be air rivals (weak ass name used to be called flysis and ace online before that) but im not much into flight sims to begin with.

Does Guild Wars require skill to play? I mean, unlike most grind-fests, level cap is 20, and you need to have some strategy on what skills to bring (since your limited to 8).
(It works. PM me if interested. $14.80 earned so far)

Then you aren't looking for an MMO. They're all like that.

Perfect World is SRO with better graphics, and all us MMO players know that SRO is nothing but a grinding game.

I gave PW two weeks when it came out, almost nothing but grinding...

All I have on my desktop is the time, a Winamp dialogue, and a run box.
