picture fails. anyway the lhc isnt even colliding particles today, and wont be for a while yet. the hype was all misguided, as all they've been doing today are tests to make sure the lhc actually works correctly

According to the psychos who worry about micro black holes tearing us a new one, apparently it'd still take 50 months for it to happen, and I doubt that the experiments they worry about won't be happening till next year.

Guys, they put the webcams for the LHC online today, not many up yet, but it's still cool to see the machine where all this cool particle physics experimentation is occuring!
