if i add speech marks to it, it adds another 300,000 results.  i did check that, i just didn't bother to tell you, as it was more results.

Anyway, you can't just pick out random words, add and "s" and search for it. It depends on the word. It's not incorrect to add an "s" for all words.

but it is incorrect to add an 's' for 'people'.  i'll use one of my examples, 'deers'. 16,500,000 results.  16,100,000 if i add quotation marks around it.

Yeah it is for "people", it's not for all words though, which is what your argument implies. "Smiles" isn't incorrect. I'm saying "animes" isn't incorrect either. Most, if not all, the words you can add an s to, still make sense without the s. Anime can refer to one or more anime episodes, clips or series, animes just refers to more than one specifically.
